Innovative Control Systems Completes Refurbishment of 15 Gas Turbines at Dominion

Clifton Park, N.Y. - July 1, 2007 - ICS has completed upgrading fifteen gas turbines for Dominion in Virginia, USA. This large contract was awarded on a fast track turnkey basis late January 2007.

The project covered the installation of new gas turbine controls, voltage regulators and other control equipment as well as the complete refurbishment of the instrument and control wiring. Patrick Nolan, president of ICS, notes that the key challenge for this contract was the very tight schedule, with the first block of units coming back in service just 14 weeks after contract award. After the success of the project, Dominion has since awarded ICS a follow-on contract for a further four gas turbines.
