ICS Replaces an Obsolete Russelectric Controller with State-of-the-Art Gas Turbine Control System

Clifton Park, N.Y. December 18, 2009 -  ICS has completed a replacement of an obsolete Russelectric control system on GE Frame 5 generator unit at the customer site located in Kaukauna, WI, USA.  The gas turbine control system from ICS returned unit to commercial use just eight weeks after receiving the contract.  The existing GE Fanuc 90 - 70 PLC platform was replaced with Allen - Bradley ControlLogix PLC equipment. The ICS gas  turbine control system is more efficient and easier to maintain. It also delivers a vastly improved operator interface as well as providing operational information to the customer's SCADA equipment that was not previously available with Russelectric system.
